Ningbo, China Net News Recently, a seminar on the application and development of green building materials was held in Ningbo. At the meeting, the case of Ningbo Sequoia High-tech Plate Industry Co., Ltd. "ceramic aluminum plate is widely used in public buildings" attracted the attention of participating experts.

In recent years, the energy consumption problems and safety hazards of traditional decorative materials have become increasingly prominent, mainly including low fire protection levels, the risk of falling, and high energy consumption light pollution. To this end, Ningbo Sequoia High-tech Board Co., Ltd. cooperated with the National Building Materials Testing Center to successfully develop a new generation of building decoration materials—aluminum porcelain plates in 2012—and has more than 70 patents.

"Porcelain aluminum plate has the characteristics of strong fire resistance and high scratch resistance, which can meet the high requirements of public buildings. At the same time, it is a low-carbon product, which greatly reduces the pollution to the atmospheric environment." Ningbo Sequoia High-tech Board Co., Ltd. General Manager Zheng Yu said.

Construction industry experts such as Jiang Quan, Secretary General of China Building Materials Federation Metal Composites Branch, and Professor Yan Hui from Beijing University of Technology attended the seminar to discuss the development trends of green buildings and green building materials. "Because of its obvious advantages in comprehensive properties, porcelain ceramic plates are gradually replacing traditional decorative materials such as ceramic steel plates, fluorocarbon aluminum plates, and tempered glass, especially for large public buildings. The demand for porcelain aluminum plates is increasing." Beijing Rail Li Yatie, chief engineer of the Planning and Design Headquarters of the Transportation Construction Management Co., Ltd., revealed that as of June 2017, 44 cities across the country are constructing or planning to construct subways, and many of the stations' decorative materials are made of porcelain aluminum plates.
